Property Spotlight: Outlook Apartments

This month, we’re highlighting Outlook Apartments, a 260-unit multifamily community in Springville, Utah, managed by Nxt Property Management.

Mereo Fiber has been the technology partner at Outlook Apartments for nearly a decade. This fall, the community renewed that partnership with a full managed Wi-Fi upgrade.

A Long-Standing Partnership

Mereo has supported Outlook Apartments through several generations of technology. The community started out on a hardwired network, with each unit connected back to data closets across the property.

A few years later, the property upgraded to fully managed Wi-Fi. That upgrade included:

• A dedicated fiber connection to the community
• A wireless access point in every apartment
• Gigabit service for residents
• Phones, staff and guest Wi-Fi for the leasing office

That network served the community well for years. Now ownership has chosen to invest in the next generation of managed Wi-Fi.

The Project

The scope of work includes a property-wide managed Ruckus Wi-Fi deployment that replaces the existing wireless equipment throughout the community. Mereo is building on the fiber and cabling infrastructure already in place, so the upgrade can focus on modern wireless performance for residents and staff.

Working Through the Details

The agreement called for the upgrade to be fully installed within six months of contract signature. To meet that commitment, the Mereo team planned the installation, secured materials early, and built the schedule around the deadline.

Coordination across teams has been key. Procurement locked in equipment early, engineering and configuration had everything staged and ready, and project management kept each phase on track. Because the community is occupied, property management has been an essential partner, coordinating access with residents so installers can move through the property efficiently and with as little disruption as possible.

Looking Ahead

The upgrade is scheduled for this November. When it’s finished, Outlook Apartments will have a modern, fully managed Wi-Fi network backed by the same support team that has served the community for nearly a decade.
